WARDOGS mortar calculator

WarPlotter is a free companion for the WARDOGS video game. Its mortar calculator combines a tactical map with coordinate inputs, a target queue and saved match setups. It includes community firing tables for the L81 Mortar and SPH-2.

Set up a mortar and target

  1. Open the planner and use Choose map to select Bakurani, Ozeti or Zestafona.
  2. Select your weapon, then place your gun on the map or enter its X and Y coordinates.
  3. Add a target by clicking the map or entering its coordinates. Give it a name so you can find it during the match.
  4. Read the distance, azimuth and table elevation in MIL. A target outside the available table range does not receive a table solution.
  5. Click a placed marker to inspect its coordinates. Choose Move on map or edit X/Y to correct the position.

What the firing solution means

Distance is the map distance between your gun and target. Azimuth is the bearing toward the target. Table elevation is interpolated from the bundled community weapon table. For the SPH-2, the planner also uses your entered hull heading to show a turn.

Elevation and the mortar simulation

You can record positions above ground or at an absolute map elevation, compare a tower target with the ground below it, and preview an illustrative projectile arc. Height differences do not adjust the table MIL value. The flight preview is not a verified reproduction of WARDOGS ballistics; check results against the current game patch.

Keep a useful setup

Save a match with your team, FOB, gun, targets and enemy reports. Save a template to reuse the setup in another game. Switching maps keeps a separate setup for each map; New game resets the active setups and archives the previous game.
